Ghost has recently introduced a new feature, the Mohawk Pommel.
It is a firm, rounded pommel similar to the front of a western saddle, without the horn. This feature offers additional rider security without the overly snug feeling in your seat.
It can be added to almost any saddle model, the most popular choices being the Ferrara, the Quevis, the Buttera, and the Torino.
The Torino is a monoflap saddle with the look and feel of the classic English A/P (G/P) saddle.
Equally at home in the show ring or on the trail. The blocks are attached inside a pocket under the knee-roll and can be removed.
These blocks have a "soft" stop and give the rider a little more leg-room and stirrup-length versatility than the "hard" stop exterior block models. An excellent choice for an all purpose saddle. For Dressage riders, order with a Hidden Pommel.
This model and the Barocco have the widest standard Ghost flap.
If your tush wants some extra cush, you might be interested in the Torino SOFT! This feature is made with soft materials and has extra cushion under the seat, and flap stitching (no stirrup strap slit possible), matching base and panel top. The SOFT option is priced at $1,480

The Western model offers the revolutionary feel and support of an English twist with the look of a Western saddle!
This model is beautifully made with tooling on the skirt and fenders and with lovely stitching on the seat.
The Western saddle has a skirt with integrated panels, which allows a close contact feel between you and your horse. The western skirt provides extra stability and the fender is soft and pliable, with enough flexibility to provide twist in your stirrups and avoid knee and ankle pain.
The fenders fit riders from 5'3" to 6' and can be ordered 2" shorter or longer if needed.
The stainless steel horn is beautiful, but if you don't need a horn the saddle can be ordered without one.
If you prefer a thigh block, they can be added to this model to provide additional rider security.
This saddle can be set up with either English or Western rigging.
Rave reviews for this! "Had my first ride today and OMG it felt so good! Horse was comfy and she moved out really well. I never liked the velcro panels as I felt like I was hovering over the horse. The western panel/conversion distributes everything well without losing the close contact feel. Winner winner! Thanks for your help! The sheepskin seat cover is comfy too! Gabe"
Looking for a deep seat? Fabulous security? The Buttera is available as either a regular Ghost saddle or a Cavallin Bareback Pad. Note - the deep seat has a slightly smaller feel, so you may want to consider going up a seat size.
This model is popular for arena riding, trail and endurance. It is an excellent choice if you have a young or unpredictable horse and would prefer to stay put when your horse spooks. A western skirt and/or fenders can be added for saddle stability or to change saddle's look.
The blocks are attached inside a pocket under the knee-roll, and can be removed.
This saddle can be set up with either English or Western rigging.
This model can be ordered with a 4cm higher cantle, making it a Buttera Maxxi, which offers even more security than the standard Buttera. The Buttera Maxxi is priced at $1450 and looks like the saddle knights used for jousting!
Customer comment! If you're not getting any younger (check) joints getting a bit creaky (check) or simply the owner of a very silly horse with an overdeveloped sense of humor (check, check, check) then this saddle is for you.
It is the most secure saddle I have ever sat on, or rather in, as it embraces you like an armchair. If your beloved equine slams on the brakes because a stone has moved since the last time you rode this path - no problem. If he/she goes from 0-30 due to a pheasant ambush, again, no problem, you are held by the large pommel in front and the high cantle behind.
I truly believe it to be the most secure saddle on the market today and am delighted to own one.
The Cavallin Puro has a minimalistic seat/flap design, giving the rider freedom for seat and leg position.
This model is an excellent choice for Endurance riders who must have a free and open seat, or people who value versatility and freedom of movement that knee blocks and thigh blocks might restrict.
It's extremely lightweight, weighing in under 10 pounds!
The Puro attracts horse owners who want a very light saddle with an open seat similar to a bareback pad- but want to ride longer, faster, or harder than a traditional bareback pad allows.
The girthing system for the Puro has been widened with a triangular attachment; two straps attached wide to the saddle's base, narrowing to an angled strap protector, which can be positioned up and down your horse's barrel to customize to the needs of the horse even for horse's with difficult conformation or motion.
It has a low, virtually unnoticeable profile under the rider's legs, which additionally improves stability in the open seat saddles.
Test rides conducted in Poland proved that this created a closer contact with the horse, a very stable saddle with lots of scope for the rider.
Fitting the Puro showed it remained versatile to Draft horses, Arabians, and Warmbloods, and the new girthing system aided rider safety and security in the saddle, even without thigh blocks.
Rider Feedback: "This was our fastest ride ever! Main test horses felt so secure with his rider that he was faster and more athletic than he had ever been before. I felt secure and safe the whole time, even without thigh blocks, which I normally love!"
